For the last ~80 days I've been building Low Poly Earth, a native Mac app that turns real map and elevation data into an explorable low-poly planet. What you can do: Pan from orbit down to street level, anywhere on Earth Search any place and fly there Fly around in three vehicles Change the date, time and weather, and save 4K photos Hunt for 231 hand-modelled landmarks How it's made: buildings, roads and water come from OpenStreetMap, terrain comes from open elevation data, and everything else (building styles, weather, lighting) is generated.
