I’m building Olano, a platform for hosting and configuring AI agents. I recorded an 11-minute walkthrough of the first-run experience: deploying an instance, opening the dashboard, and creating a first agent. There are two setup paths in the demo. The manual route lets you choose a template or start from scratch, select a model, and write instructions. The conversational route uses AgentFather, a built-in setup agent: I ask it to create Grace as a personal assistant, answer a follow-up question, and then Grace appears in the agent list. The rough edges are in the recording too: deployment takes time, the first response is slow, and there’s some waiting during conversational setup. One detail about cost: filling in the manual creation form doesn’t use inference credits, while asking AgentFather to configure an agent does. Running either agent still uses inference.
