Demo I build a tracker for what side projects cost and what they make. Every project gets a public page: monthly cost, revenue, the list of services it runs on. It was accurate and completely dead. Nobody ever shared one. So I made the page draw the project as a building instead. One floor per service. The floor gets wider the more that service costs, so the thing your money actually goes to is the fat bit at the bottom. Colour is the service type, blue hosting, green database, purple payments, yellow email. Windows light up based on revenue, and a project making nothing sits there dark, which honestly stings more than the number did.
