Original Summary
Every tool I found for resizing social images was a website. Upload the photo, wait, crop five times, download a zip, pay $10–15 a month. For client work that also means putting someone else's unreleased photos on a stranger's server. So I built Trove. It's a Chrome extension, and all the work happens in your browser: - 43 placements across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, X, LinkedIn, Facebook and Threads - Each placement gets its own crop, because a square post and a story want different parts of the picture - Stills are resized with Lanczos-3 in Rust compiled to wasm instead of one bilinear step, so they come out less soft - Video export uses WebCodecs H.264, and it re-encodes until the file fits the size limit - No account, no server, no analytics The whole Studio is free on one file at a time, with no watermark and no trial clock. Batch and your own watermark cost $5/month. Solo dev, no users yet. I'd like to hear what's confusing or missing. Link in comments. submitted by /u/Jayash_Bhandary [link] [comments]
